From Grief to Grit: Care Bear Stories

Hey Care Bear,

I need to let you in on what’s really been happening behind the scenes.

Because while we’ve been planning workshops, offering encouragement, building coaching businesses and sharing smiles online…

Life has still been life-ing. And our Care Bear community has been holding a lot.

Let me tell you about two Care Bears this month (permission graned to share):

💔 First, Kristi. A devoted mom. A believer in mental health services. A fighter for her daughter’s wellness.

Just last month, the same month Kristi was encouraging others to seek help… Her daughter, who had battled voices for years and received years of care, was discharged from a mental health facility.

And that same day—those voices won. She stepped in front of a train and took her life.

Kristi is now grieving deeply. Raising her grandchildren. Trying to breathe through unthinkable pain.

We lift Kristi up in prayer today. Her heart. Her healing. Her strength. 💛 Please whisper her name to heaven.

On the other side of the spectrumwe celebrate another Care Bear who just graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Work. She’s been through multiple medical battles. Could’ve quit. But God gave her just enough to finish the race. 🎓 We honor your victory, sis.

You see, Care Bears… this is what it’s like to walk in our shoes.

We hold grief in one hand and grit in the other. We wipe someone else’s tears while holding back our own. We’re the ones who “stay strong”… even when we want to scream.

And somewhere along the line, the world gave us a badge for surviving. So we started telling ourselves: “Well, at least my situation isn’t as bad.” “I don’t have time to fall apart.” “Strong women don’t sit down.”

But baby, hear me:

🛑 That strength-only story? It’s costing us our breath. It’s muting our truth. It’s telling our nervous system we don’t get to rest.

That’s why we created this space.

💛 A space where Care Bears can stop performing strong.

💛 A space to reset, breathe, grieve, laugh, and heal—together.

Because we need both. We need the courage to celebrate. And the compassion to sit with the hard stuff too.

The 60-Day Radical Reset begins soon. You don’t need to prove anything to come. You just need to be ready to stop carrying it alone.

So glad you’re part of the care.
