Praise Report + Action Needed by 9AM (Care Bears Show Up) šŸ»šŸ’œ

Hey Care Bear šŸ»šŸ’œ,

This is a praise report.

Not just something I heard about…
But something I’ve walked alongside.

A former social worker and City employee—my friend—has WON her case.

I have been on this journey with her…
Late night conversations, prayers, tears, and moments where the weight of it all was almost too much.

This case pulled a lot out of her.
But it also built her faith, strengthened her walk, and taught her how to fight the good fight in the strength of the Lord.

And today…

God showed up and showed out.

The jury awarded $15.4 million.

But let’s be clear—
There is no dollar amount that replaces:

  • Her health
  • Her peace
  • The years of enduring harassment and discrimination
  • Being the only Black woman in a male-dominated environment
  • Layoffs that didn’t feel accidental
  • Racial slurs witnessed by peers

This was years of torment.

Now here’s where we come in…

The City is meeting to decide if they will appeal—which means spending even more taxpayer money to continue this fight.

šŸ•˜ Public comments must be submitted before 9:00 AM PST on March 18.

And this is where our voice matters.

I’m asking you to take a moment and submit a comment sharing:

  • The cost to taxpayers if this continues
  • The message it sends to the community
  • And the truth that some harm cannot be undone, no matter the dollar amount

This is bigger than one case.

This is about accountability, healing, and leadership.

Care Bears… we don’t just celebrate breakthroughs.

We stand in them. We protect them. We show up.

If you’ve ever endured something in silence—this is your moment to speak.

Let’s move.

With love + purpose,
